Scarf Week

        So about two weeks ago my roomie/best friend Kelsey and I decided to have a scarf week. For the five weekdays all of our outfits had to be accessorized with a scarf. This week proved more challenging then we expected. It was a lot harder to make an outfit with a scarf when I had too. Of course the following week I wore a scarf almost everyday with ease. I documented each day as proof. Enjoy the pics! I encourage all of you to try a scarf week or some other accessory for a week or maybe even two!

Summer!

        So it is summer and you think I would be glued to my computer or outside working on my tan, but nope! I am stuck inside all day with an average of 25 kids ages five to nine. Then when I finally get home I have to do school work, because I want to graduate on time so I am taking two online classes. I feel the term summer needs to be used lightly when I talk about what "break" I am on from school. Well enough ranting about my problems, I have some new and exciting news. In may I went to a Taylor Swift concert with Emily and to say it was life changing would be an understatement! She was amazing and now I love her and her music even more (which I didn't think it was possible!) Another thing is I made Dean's List for spring semester with a GPA of 3.957...So close to a 4.0 but that's okay I will take it. Also, I now have 200 followers on Pinterest so I feel pretty accomplished in that area of my life :) And lastly, I wanted to give a shout out to my girl Emily, because I am trying to help her win a contest to go and open for Alex G. Failure!

Wow readers! I am a complete failure! Seriously one day awhile ago, so long ago I don't even know the date, I said I was going to post and I posted how excited I was and I would post all this amazing stuff and I never did! Wow! Well in my defense school has been super crazy this semester! I thought it was going to be easier and boy I was so wrong! But the good news is is that I am almost done with my second year of college! That's right folks this small town girl is going to be a junior in college in the fall! Time really does fly by fast in college, I can't even believe it. I am so blessed to be here at my new school and all the wonderful opportunities that have been given to me. It just blows my mind to think about where I was last year and where I am now! Well enough with the mushy stuff, for now :) I have some big, big, big, news! In approximately 16 days maybe more or less I will be an Aunt! Yes you read right an Aunt. My brother and his girlfriend are having a baby girl and I am so excited! Her due date is April 10th but as you know babies can come at any time and I am definitely waiting for that moment to happen anytime!! Her name will be Hollie Elizabeth :) It's going to be a fun and great experience being an Aunt :)

Anyways I have about 5-6 some weeks left in school and they cannot go by fast enough. I am tired or lesson planning, projects, plays, and writing milestones. I am just ready to soak up the summer and all it has to offer me! I am planning on working my daycare job and possibly the nursing home job. I will also be taking at least one class online for sure. I need to take two but the other is a work in progress right now. Some other news is that Kelsey and I applied and interviewed to be small group leaders next year and I am so excited about it. It really feels good to follow after something you feel called to do :) Well I have tons more I would love to say and share but I have some friends coming to visit and they should be here shortly so I must say goodbye! Don't I will honestly try harder to keep writing more!

Excited!!!

So I haven't posted a blog since October! Wow that's 3 months! I have missed blogging so much and I am super bummed that I wasn't able to keep my promised and post once a week. School got pretty crazy and now I am finishing up J-Term and I was thinking to myself... I need to blog. A lot of new and exciting things have happened since I last posted. I will give a detailed report about that later but right now I just wanted to write how excited  I am to be back to blogging :) I was going to wait and post a big full long post about everything but I couldn't contain myself! So I decided to write a little post to hold me over till later. Well better get back to the grind stone of homework!
